Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOGL and/or GOOG), is an American conglomerate based in California, United States. It was founded on October 2015 by the founders of Google and replaced Google Inc. as the publicly-traded entity of the company. Alphabet became the parent of several subsidiary companies operating in a number of industries including technology, life sciences, investment capital and research. Alphabet’s largest subsidiary is still Google, offering it’s well known Internet services and has been one of the two most valuable brands in the world for the past several years.
